Collection/Delivery cost is worked out at £20 plus £1 per mile from our North Yorkshire Sewing Shop.
Why Dont We service at your House?
There is no simple answer to this, we have operated since 1922 and experience has taught us the work carried out in a proper workshop with quality tools is far superior to anything we could offer on the road.
Parts, we carry old and new parts far too many to carry around (our workshop is larger than our shop area)
The Manufacturers Greases, Lubricants ore often different grades for different models, if the wrong one is used it invalidates your warranty.
The correct cleaning fluids only available to authorised service centres would damage any furniture it accidentally touched.
New machines require a connection to a laptop for diagnostics and access to manufacturers network not available on the road.
there are many other issues over the years but you get the idea. you wouldn't get a respectable car garage to repair your car in your own garage would you!
We understand there is mobile mechanic's with lots of experience and can offer a quick fix to a problem with a sinmple old machine, We offer a manufacturers level service more than a coat of WD40, new sewing machine needle and some good thread to solve any tension problems, that you could have done yourself.
